Parents and Grandparents

It has just been suggested to me that photos of Mom and Dad should be on this site. As such, here are the very excited parents and grandparents to be:

Casey with her parents Marcia and Eugene.

Tim with his parents Patricia and John.

Casey and I. These were all taken at Casey's baby shower on April 28.

Love is in the air!

Baby's First Pictures

Well, we are just anxiously awaiting John Patrick's arrival, so I thought I would post the photos we have of him so far:

The first photo taken: December 18, 2006.

A little bit further along. Notice that he already has his father's disposition by the way he is flipping the technician the bird with both fingers! March 17, 2007.

This is the 3D ultrasound, and the last one done where they send you home with pictures. Once again, notice the bird being flipped: April 20, 2007.

We are very much looking forward to posting some outside-the-womb photos. We'll keep them coming!

Room Is Furnished

This past Sunday was a busy one. Now that the room is finished being painted, the flooring people have finished their work and the signing party has taken place, I could put off assembling the baby's furniture no longer. So, here's what it looks like with all the wonderful stuff in it:

And, of course, the newly decorated bathroom for John Patrick. Many thanks to Casey's mom for a great job done in very little time.

Now, it seems there's only one item missing from all this: John Patrick. Ahem, son: we're waiting!

Critter's Room Is Finished!

After three months of painting, the artists have finally finished John Patrick's room. Since Casey is now at the nine-month mark, they finished just in the nick of time. So, here is the room in full:

The door you see is the door into the room.

Following along, this is the entire south wall.

This closeup of the sun highlights some of the gold leaf that was utilized throughout the room.

Gold leaf was also used here as reflection in the lake.

Moving along, we see the fabulous tree in the corner.

Here we see the entire east wall. Detail photos below.

The castle and house.

Of course, the fighting Irish guarding the pot of gold. Again, gold leaf was essential for this.

Moving along to the next room corner.

A most excellent windmill.

I went straight on to the next corner since the window occupies a good portion of the north wall. You can see how the window and closet door were utilized as part of the house design.

Finally, we come back around to the entire west wall.

Here is a closeup of the quiver.

Here is a closeup of the door emblem.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the artists. Casey and I are very proud of the wonderful job that Grace and Jody did on the room. We know John Patrick will be inspired by it for years to come.
